Below is the Konocti Unified School District’s Grading Policy During Off Site Learning
April 13, 2020
Greetings, Konocti Unified Students and Parents,
Konocti site and district management teams have been collaborating with educational leaders throughout the region to decide how best to serve students during the statewide shelter-in-place order. Distance Learning, initiated in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and in adherence to state guidelines, has afforded students the opportunity to continue learning and working. However, in a time filled with confusion and uncertainty, one of the most pressing concerns raised by students, parents, and teachers has been the subject of grading.
Our priority is to maintain equity and to honor the hard work of our students. Accordingly, we will observe the following criteria for our high school students at Lower Lake High School, Konocti Education Center, Carle High School, Lewis, and Blue Heron.
- At this point in time, the students start with their current grade from March 13.
- To maintain or to improve these grades, students will continue to submit assignments in all subjects on a weekly basis.
- Students’ final grades will be based on a culmination of their starting grade and the progress that they have made during the remainder of the school year. Please refer to the grading rubric
